WHY THE BLACK DOG INSTITUTE?
In Australia, hospitality workers face significant mental health challenges, with studies showing a high prevalence of mental health conditions, including depression and anxiety, and a higher risk of suicidal behaviour compared to other occupations with research suggesting that 68% of workers in the hotel and food services industry have experienced a mental health condition.
