There is no other event like this anywhere in the world! Register and be part of this history-making first event, where you can swim in the magnificent protected waters of The Marina, Mindarie.
The Marina Swim is Perth’s newest open water swimming event taking place on Sunday, 24 March 2019. Hosted in the beautiful clear and calm waters of The Marina, swimmers will be able to experience open water swimming without exposure to the ocean’s elements. This unique experience is coupled with the best spectator viewing and post swim entertainment options we have ever seen at a swimming event!
We are delighted to have local Northern suburbs open water swimmer, Aaron Ellis-Kerr on board as our official Ambassador of this event. Aaron has recently completed the Rottnest Channel Swim, Open Water Series and the Port to Pub.
There are three distances to choose from:
2.5km – Club to Pub
An endurance swimming event, the Club to Pub commences at the Quinns Mindarie Surf Life Saving Club, just North of The Marina, Mindarie. Swimmers will take a direct route South and into The Marina. Here they will navigate the calm waters to the finish line.
1.25km – Classic
The perfect distance for the recreational swimmer, the Classic course is based entirely within the confines of The Marina. This makes the Classic a perfect choice for those wanting to be challenged without the exposure to open ocean conditions.
500m – Splash & Dash
The Splash & Dash is ideal for junior and novice participants. The perfect introduction to open water swimming, without the wind or the waves to contend with.
TEAM SPECIAL OFFER
We are doing a Special Offer for Teams or Clubs who register a Team of 10 or more. Register and book a table for 10 or more to receive a $65 voucher to redeem at any one of our participating venues on the day of the Event. You’ll receive another $65 for every 10 registered swimmers.
INDIVIDUAL OFFER
Every participant will receive a food & beverage voucher – $10 for the 2.5km, $7 for the 1.25km and $5 for the 500m and all children. For Teams, you are eligible for the individual offer on top of your Team offer! How’s that for an incentive to swim!
VENUES OPEN FOR BREAKFAST
Our venues the Indian Ocean Brewing Co. and The Boat will be opening at the special time of 7am for the event so come down and grab your early morning caffeine fix and some brekkie! Dome will be open from 6am as usual.

Notice of Boat Ramp Closure
The Marina Boat Ramp will be closed from 5.30am – 12pm on the day of the event and no boats will be allowed access to The Marina during this time for the safety of all swimmers taking part in the event.
